We’ve teamed up with the 10:10 organisation to help customers reduce their energy consumption by 10% by the end of 2010. 10:10 is a climate change campaign aimed at getting individuals, companies and institutions to reduce their carbon footprint by 10% during 2010. For individuals it means just that: pledging to reduce your energy usage by 10% by the end of 2010.
We’ll be offering lots of advice on how you can be more energy efficient, reduce your energy use and aim to save money on your bills. We’ll even show how you are doing against your 10% energy reduction target, which started on 1 January 2010.
How can we help?
- When you login or register to our online account management service1, you’ll be able to see your Energy Tracker to view your energy usage over time
- We’ll show you how you are performing against the 10% energy reduction target since January 20102
- Residential customers can also switch to our new EnergySaver deal. Along with protected prices, you’ll also get a home energy monitor worth £40. This will help track the electricity you use in your home to help you find ways to reduce it
- We’ll send you regular emails with energy saving advice3 and regular offers on energy saving products
- Regular offers on energy saving products.
How do I sign up?
The public campaign is open to everyone and you can register your pledge at 1010uk.org.

If you’re not an E.ON customer and you want to use our Energy Tracker and access our extra benefits, then you’ll need to switch your energy to us and manage your account online first.
Switching to us and managing your account online only takes a few minutes. Don’t forget that the 10:10 campaign is completely voluntary, so if you don’t make any energy savings, there will be no changes to the services we offer you.
