We're committed to investing in the communities in which it serves and to using its business expertise to tackle community issues. We do this through two distinct streams – Community Investment and Employee Involvement.
Our Community Investment projects cover a number of areas including Education, Environment and Fuel Poverty. We support these areas with projects such as We Test You Rest, our award winning electric blanket testing campaign for the elderly and a long-standing commitment to education through our Hams Hall Environmental Studies Centre near Birmingham.
Employee involvement is a rewarding experience and we're working together with organisations all over the country to find and support opportunities for employees to get involved in. We now have a vast portfolio of activities available and employees can choose from spending a day with their team working on a local project to building a long-term relationship with a local schoolchild. They can even work with secondary schools to motivate young adults who are choosing their career paths.
We also support our employees’ favourite charities through matching funds raised though sponsorship and recognising the fantastic voluntary activities that they undertake in their own time.
Through supporting relevant and effective projects we aim to build positive relationships with the communities in which we live and work and give our employees a reason to feel proud about who they work for.
