Problems in the property market in the UK are not affecting homes with energy efficient design, an expert has suggested.
Julian Brooks, managing director of environmentally-friendly homes advice company GreenMoves, explained that the demand for eco-houses was not declining.
He added that his company had seen a spike in interest in recent weeks.
"[The demand] is still there and is slightly insulated from the problems that conventional house builder products have, in terms of trying to get sales. We have a scheme that has two left to sell out of five and is just about completing now," Mr Brooks said.
"We have got serious interest on those from last week and it's been quite busy for the last six to eight weeks. It's holding up and there is still a desire or an interest in the market for products like that, that are different."
