Renewable energy technology 'over recession'

The future of renewable energy looks bright, with one green industry commentator predicting that the clean technology sector looks to be over the worst of the recession.

In a blog post for Business Green, James Murray states that recovery for this industry is certainly on the way, which may be welcome news for UK companies hoping to boost their energy efficiency through renewable power.

"Fears that oil prices will soar as demand increases might spell bad news for motorists and carbon intensive businesses, but it is only good news for low carbon technologies," he adds.

In an earlier article for the resource, Mr Murray noted that the government's desire to cut carbon emissions in the UK by 80 per cent by 2050 was "admirable".

However, he added that more may still need to be done, if scientific research into the development of climate change and global warming is to be heeded.
