Going on holiday in a caravan is a
green and sustainable way to vacation, it has been noted.
Fiona Bewers, corporate PR manager at the Caravan Club, said that a recent survey by the club had revealed its members are twice as likely to have embraced an environmentally friendly lifestyle than the general UK public.
Furthermore, 98 per cent stated they were doing positive things for the environment in their day-to-day lives.
"With caravanning itself being a green, sustainable way to holiday, members' attitude to environmental issues underpins initiatives already underway within the club," Ms Bewers added.
She went on to note that 90 per cent of club members believe there should be more space for wildlife on and around club sites.
Taking a caravan holiday can also be a more affordable getaway option, she noted.
However caravan owners were recently reminded by North Wales Fire and Rescue Service - speaking to the Flintshire Chronicle - of the importance of ensuring all their gas appliances are in safe working order before hitting the road.
