Residents at a new development will
reduce their energy bills as a result of energy efficient and renewable energy generation technologies, according to the developer.
The 14 new homes in Caterham, Surrey, feature solar panels which provide ten per cent of their electricity, while saving carbon dioxide emissions.
"Each home will be fitted with discrete solar panels delivering ten per cent renewable energy and helping to reduce the lucky owners’ energy bills," according to promotional material from Bryant Homes.
Each two-, three-, and four-bed house at the development just over a mile from the city centre also has a range of features to stop heat from escaping.
They are equipped with high levels of
insulation, as well as double glazing throughout, reducing heating bills.
The cost of heating the homes is also kept in check by the use of energy efficient heating systems.
