Eligibility

Cavity Wall

• Does your property NOT have a cavity between the external walls?
• Has the cavity already been filled in the past or is there evidence of drill holes between the mortar on the external walls?
• Is the insulation for one of the following: Flat, Maisonette, Dorma Bungalow, extension only?
• Is your property one of the following: Timber framed, Metal framed, Concrete, Natural stone, Pre - Fabricated?
• Is there any evidence of damp in the property?

Loft

• Is the loft already insulated to the correct level?
• Under 60mm existing means more insulation is definitely needed. Over 60mm existing means some insulation is still needed. Over 100mm existing has little extra benefit to top up therefore E.ON do not offer this service –why not try DIY insulation Homebase or Wickes?
• Is the insulation for one of the following: Flat, Maisonette, Dorma Bungalow, extension only?
• Are there goods in the loft which you are not able to clear yourself?
• Is the loft boarded over?
• Is the loft flat roofed or less than 1.5m high?

If the answer to any of these questions is YES then it is likely that you are not able to have the insulation installed.

Next Steps

1. You’ll be sent a letter confirming your registration and informing you of the name and contact details of your appointed installer
2. You’ll be contacted to a arrange a survey
3. A professional surveyor will visit your property to check it for suitability
4. If your home can have the measures installed an appointment will be made for the work to be carried out
5. Your insulation will be installed within 5-6 weeks from survey

The scheme is available in England, Scotland and Wales and excludes housing association, council tenants, flats and maisonettes. All applications are subject to a home survey by the appointed installer (or company acting on their behalf) who will also clarify if there are any extra charges, for example, if scaffolding or vents are required or if the property is larger than the average size for the property type. Full Terms and Conditions will be set out in your contract with the appointed installer. We only use mineral wool for insulating cavity walls. The scheme is administered by E.ON Energy Limited who reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time. Loft insulation offer not available if you have more than 100mm existing loft insulation.
