Moving premises?

Are you moving in or out, changing the bill payer, changing the type of business (e.g. from sole trader to limited company), ceasing trading, or entering administration?

We know this can be a stressful time so we're here to make life easier. You can either call one of our Business Moves experts on 0845 835 0770 or complete our Moving In or Moving Out online forms.

Before you contact us you'll need a few things to hand:

  • Address(es) of the property(ies) you're leaving/moving into, including any forwarding addresses

  • Meter readings from the property(ies) affected and the date they were read
(to bill you accurately this should ideally be taken on the date of your move)

  • So we'll only bill you for the energy you've used, we'll need the name of the new owner/occupier e.g. Landlord/New Tenant etc.

  • The date your lease or ownership started or finishes

  • If you're closing your energy account, please don't cancel your Direct Debit as your final bill still needs to be paid, or we might need to refund any credit on your account

  • If you're moving in or out of more than one site, or have sites with multiple meters, please call us and we'll explain the next steps.

Are you a Landlord or Managing Agent?

To make sure we only bill you for energy and any standing charges that you're responsible for, please keep us up to date with the tenants at your sites.

If your site isn't using any energy you may not have to pay the standing charge.

However if some energy is still being used we can usually offer you a fixed price plan which will have significantly cheaper prices than our Deemed prices. Just give us a call on 0845 8350771 and we can talk you through it.

Are you an Energy Consultant or a Broker?

Please make sure that you have the neccessary authority in place before contacting us. To provide the best level of service we may need to speak to the customer or other data providers to confirm the details of any change of tenancy.
