Energy in a Play: Key Stage 2 (7-11 years): This fun-packed drama day has been a big hit for the last few years. Pupils learn about energy saving in everyday life and then get into character to rehearse and perform a play and catchy song to show their new knowledge and skills off to the rest of the school.

Creative Conductors: Key Stage 2 and 3 (7-14 years): This exciting workshop covers energy conduction, circuits and the design process - with a creative twist. Students will use a Makey Makey - the kit that 'turns the world into a controller' - to combine their knowledge of energy concepts with artistic and design flair.

Micro Energy Mix: Key Stage 4 (14-16): Students take on the role of an energy expert by designing and building functioning micro-models of renewable energy technologies. Teams then really flex their STEM skills as they devise an energy mix to meet MicroGen City’s energy needs within environmental, technological and budgetary constraints.

From September 2016 we’ll be visiting schools to give workshops in East and West Midlands. Even though we’d love to, we can't visit every school in the UK. So, we’ve designed a range of free activities to explore core science concepts in the classroom and at home.

If you'd like further information about our workshops please take a look at our FAQs or get in touch.
