HR Graduate Scheme

I’m only 22 years old, and I joined this programme straight from university. Even though I didn’t have any HR experience, I’ve been really impressed by the amount of trust they’ve placed in me. I have felt that my contribution has been valued on projects from day one. Likewise, the fact they’ve involved me in strategic decisions has given me the confidence that my input can make a difference. 
Right now, I’m on my international placement in Berlin, working on a huge project. The E.ON Group is centralising some of its HR functions to its Berlin HQ. As part of this project, I’m helping them to migrate their recruiting function from the Czech Republic. Specifically, I’ve been involved in analysing the current Czech Republic recruitment process and seeing how they adhere to global procedures. It’s been a fantastic experience so far. As well as getting to travel to the Czech offices, I’ve had a lot of responsibility and got to engage with a lot of stakeholders. 
Looking ahead, I’m really excited to start my CIPD qualification in September. This was a huge attraction for me when joining the scheme. I’ve already completed some training courses including an employment law training day, intercultural training and an introduction to energy business. There’s so much here to learn.
