More information on the proposed Camster II wind farm

Project Information

February 2019

We've identified this area as a possible site for a new wind farm and are currently undertaking survey work to produce a local planning application. This site is on the Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS) land to the north of our current operational Camster Wind Farm.

Our independent environmental consultants are undertaking a series of surveys to assess the impact on the proposed wind farm. Their findings will form part of an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) which will detail the surveys and proposed measures to help reduce any impacts, if appropriate.

Latest News

We have continued these surveys from 2016 to present day and held a public exhibition in November 2018 with our proposed 11 turbine layout. Each turbine will not exceed a tip height of 126.5m. Our proposal is to deliver the turbines from Wick port to site using our current Camster Wind Farm delivery route, therefore reducing construction traffic and utilising the current track.

The EIA will form part of our planning application that we plan to submit at the end of June 2019.
