What is the Domestic RHI?

Systems which heat up your home by using clean energy sources can help to reduce carbon emissions in the UK, and meet the UK’s renewable energy targets. The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive is a government financial incentive which promotes the use of renewable heat.

Join the scheme

It’s open to households on and off the gas grid. We’ll get in touch on how to apply for the RHI after your installation.

Your application

Everything you need for your application will be sent to your home – including all your energy certificates.

You’ll get payments, issued quarterly over seven years, for the amount of clean, renewable heat produced by your system.

What the RHI could mean for you

Over seven years through the RHI scheme you could get up to £8,9112 towards the cost of an air source heat pump. Prices for an air source heat pump in a four-bedroom detached house start at around £11,000.

Just like boilers, air source heat pumps should be serviced each year to make sure they run safely and efficiently.

The legal stuff

  1. We're here from Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm.
  2. The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) of an air source heat pump in a four-bedroom detached house using over 20,000 kWh of heat per annum would equate to an annual payment of £1,273 per year (based on 10.18p/kWh) helping you offset the cost of the installation.
