The role of apps in uncertain times

At home or at work, apps are central to almost everything we do today in our smartphone-centred lives – but as we face the current world of social distancing, they’re becoming even more important as organisations are forced to change the way they operate, to deploy remote working, or, for some, even change their business models in order to survive.

Used by busy executives and small business owners alike, some eight in ten people now own, or have access to, a smartphone. At the end of 2019, there were an incredible 2.57 million Google apps available and 1.84 million for Apple iOS users helping us organise our busy lives, stay in touch with loved ones and even keep us entertained via video streaming and photo sharing.

How the E.ON app can help your business right now

For small and medium businesses the E.ON app allows customers to manage energy accounts for up to 25 sites from any location – allowing you to track the amount of energy your business is using, provide meter readings, as well as download and pay your bills. If you Pay As You Go you can top up your energy through the app too.

To join, you'll need an online E.ON account and to have received your first bill. Once you’re signed up, you’re ready to manage your energy wherever you are, giving more time to concentrate on your day-to-day business operation.
