ECO funding

We’re working in partnership with local authorities to deliver energy efficiency measures that will help the UK’s most vulnerable households keep warm, save money, and reduce carbon emissions.

What is ECO funding?

The Energy Company Obligation or ‘ECO’ is a domestic energy efficiency funding programme directed by government and paid through the green levy by large energy companies. As a trusted partner with years of experience, we work with local authorities and councils to create energy efficient homes, delivered through the ECO scheme, enabling us to achieve a reduction in fuel poverty and improve the overall energy efficiency of homes across the UK.

Together with our contractors, we deliver a variety of home insulation measures such as cavity wall and loft insulation, to thermostat valvessolar panels and much more. We offer extra warmth for your home at no cost to you and the best part is, you don’t have to be an E.ON customer to benefit (see if you qualify for ECO4 here).

The ECO Obligation Team

Helping the UK’s most vulnerable households keep warm, save money and reduce carbon emissions by delivering the right solutions for them.

How E.ON deliver ECO

Since the government’s introduction of the ECO scheme in 2013, E.ON has built a large, experienced and trusted installer network (our own E.ON installers, plus a wide nationwide base of highly skilled contractors) and has a proven track record of delivering high value ECO contracts.

We have created strategic relationships with local authorities to deliver turnkey, end to end energy efficiency projects, transitioning communities to a net zero future. Working in partnership with local contractors allows us to improve lives locally and reduce carbon emissions across each region. Watch our short video to learn more about the delivery of ECO4 and complete our partnership form if you'd like a call back.

We've delivered some of the largest and complex ECO schemes across the UK

E.ON is fulfilling its ECO obligation goals by going green and reducing carbon emissions across a number of London boroughs such as Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Newham. We also have many other decarbonisation activities happening across London to help organisations and homes to reach net zero.

Such as our 61 district heating networks, including our hidden underground network, Citigen. We also install solar p.v., electric vehicle chargers, new boilers and smart meters in homes and businesses across the capital.

E.ON are award winning for energy efficiency

We won the Greater London Regional Large Scale Project (for over 250K) of the year from the energy efficiency awards. This was won together with our partners Cosy Homes Barking and Dagenham, J&J Crump & Son Ltd and Barking & Dagenham Council.

The Cosy Homes Barking and Dagenham project was set up in 2020, aimed to make a real difference in people’s lives by tackling fuel poverty and improving energy efficiency, through installing a wide range of energy efficiency measures across the borough.
