The UK Government recently announced a Green Homes Grant which can providing funding for energy efficiency measures to help reduce the amount of carbon dioxide your home produces.

The most effective way of preventing heat loss in your home is with insulation. If you’re eligible as part of our Affordable Warmth Scheme, we’ll install cavity and loft insulation free of charge, and you don’t need to be an E.ON customer to benefit.

How can you tell if you have cavity walls?

If your home was built after the 1930s, then it’s likely that you do. You’ll see a regular pattern of bricks laid on their long side.

But don’t worry, we’ll check to see if you have cavity walls or cavity wall insulation when we come to see you.

Is it messy to install?

Not at all. It’s straightforward and mess-free when done by a cavity wall technician.

Our technicians drill 2cm holes into the outer wall, then inject it with either bead or fibre cavity insulation.

Once the cavity is full, the holes are filled in to match the existing wall.

We’re offering free cavity wall insulation for all eligible homeowners as part of our Affordable Warmth drive and the government’s Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) scheme.

1 Savings information is provided from the Energy Saving Trust website and based on an average semi-detached household. Savings will vary depending on the size and thermal performance of your home. Figures are based on fuel prices as of April 2019. 

2 Installation cost is subject to survey and based on installing cavity wall insulation on a mid terrace two or three bedroom gas heated property.
