E.ON Connecting Energies - your partner for integrated energy solutions
E.ON Connecting Energies (known as ECT) offers integrated energy solutions for industrial and business customers, as well as the public sector.
Services include lighting, cooling, heating, process steam and electricity needs of businesses across Europe. As well as optimising existing facilities, we create new, highly efficient generation plants or systems at our customers’ sites.
Over the past ten years, we’ve successfully helped businesses save between 20% to 40% on their energy costs.
What do we do?
Energy analysis and consultancy
First, we’ll determine the energy optimisation and savings potential across your facilities.
Our project management experts will design a solutions package that’s tailored for your business’ needs. We can even provide a complete energy management service for you.
Energy efficiency measures
By connecting your Building Energy Management System to our 24/7 remote control from our Energy Management Centre, we’ll analyse your energy data, and optimise your energy consumption and efficiency opportunities.
We’ll look at lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, boilers, chillers and compressed air – all of which account for 95% of building energy consumption. We work across sites as diverse as retailers, shopping centres, assembly plants, production facilities, distribution centres, data centres, hospitals and office buildings.
On-site generation - more than 25 years of experience
No matter how large your business, we can supply you with electricity, heat, and cooling for air conditioning and refrigeration. We can also process steam, heat, cooling and compressed air.
But you can also take advantage of on-site generation. We’re experienced with technologies such as: combined heat and power (co-generation); combined cooling, heating and power (tri-generation); high-efficiency boilers; gas or steam turbines, with heat pumps or with photovoltaics.
What’s more, we’ll manage the process – from plan, design and engineering to procurement, financing, installation, operation and maintenance.
Virtual Power Plants & Demand Response Management
You may have many flexible generating units or shiftable loads such as backup generators, CHPs, heat pumps or compressors.
We can help you turn these into ways to generate income or avoid fees through integrating them into our Virtual Power Plant. For example, during periods of grid stress, we would help you to sell this capacity to short-term markets to help stabilise the UK energy network.
