What is E.ON Price Alert?

If you've got an online account and you're on one of our older fixed tariffs that offer Price Alert, we'll let you know when a cheaper version of that tariff is available.

We're no longer offering Price Alert for any of our new tariffs.

How do I opt in?

You can opt in through your online account or by discussing this with one of our advisors. You can call us on 0345 052 0000. Lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays.

Do I have to have to an Online Account?

Yes.  You must have a live online account to receive the Price Alert notification as this is an online only service.

What tariffs offer Price Alert?

All the fixed price tariffs that we sold between 6 December 2013 and 6 December 2016 offered Price Alert.

If you're not sure if you've got it, you can check section 14 of your tariff's T&Cs.

Can I opt in even if my current tariff doesn't offer it?

Yes, you can opt in until 31 March 2017 when the scheme's ending, but you won't get any Price Alerts unless you're on one of our fixed price tariffs sold between 6 December 2013 and 6 December 2016.

As long as you're opted in on one of those tariffs, you'll keep getting Price Alert email until your tariff end date.

How will I get a Price Alert?

We’ll send you an email to the address you've given us.

When will I get a Price Alert?

You'll get one when we launch a new version of your fixed tariff, but it might take us up to ten working days to get in touch.

You can always check our available tariffs at any time, and you don't have to switch if you don't want to.

Will I be charged an exit fee if I switch to the new version of my fixed tariff before my tariff end date?

No, we don’t charge an exit fee if you switch to another E.ON tariff. If your current tariff includes an exit fee, you will only be charged this if you switch to another supplier.

What happens when I move house?

If you want to stay with us, we can only put you on to one of our current tariffs in your new home. As we're no longer offering Price Alert for any of our new tariffs, unfortunately you'll no longer be able to get it.

What happens if I change my email address?

You need to let us know as soon as possible, so we can make sure you will still receive your Price Alerts. You can update your email address by changing your details in your online account or you can call us on 0345 052 0000. Lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays.

What happens if I leave E.ON and come back?

You'll need to sign up for one of our current tariffs, and unfortunately Price Alert is no longer available for these.
