What is E.ON Price Alert?

This is an online only service which uses email to notify you of a new version of your current Fixed Tariff.

How do I opt in?

You can opt in through your online account or by discussing this with one of our advisors. You can call us on 0333 202 4606. We're open 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 8am-6pm on a Saturday.

Do I have to have to an Online Account?

Yes.  You must have a live online account to receive the Price Alert notification as this is an online only service.

What are the eligible tariffs that work with E.ON Price Alert?

This offer is available on all fixed price tariffs sold after 6 December 2013.

Can I opt in if I am not on an eligible tariff?

Yes you can opt in even if you’re not on an eligible tariff, but you won’t receive any Price Alerts. You can only receive Price Alerts if you are on a fixed price tariff sold after 6 December 2013.

I agreed an E.ON fixed price tariff before 6 December 2013, can I opt in to Price Alert?

It is possible to opt in even if you’re not on an eligible tariff, but you won’t receive any Price Alerts. You can only receive Price Alerts if you are on a fixed price tariff sold after 6 December 2013 .

Are there other ways besides email you can contact me with Price Alerts?

We’re currently looking at ways of sending Price Alerts to our customers. However at the moment we can only send these by email.

How will I receive Price Alerts?

We’ll send an email to the email address you’ve given us .

When will I receive Price Alerts?

We’ll email you when we launch a new version of your eligible fixed term tariff. The latest we’ll send out emails is 10 working days after we’ve launched the new tariff.

What can I do when I am alerted?

It’s up to you; you can switch to the latest version of your fixed price tariff or choose to remain on your current tariff.

Will I be charged an exit fee if I switch to the new version of my fixed tariff before my tariff end date?

No, we don’t charge an exit fee if you switch to another E.ON tariff. If your current tariff includes an exit fee, you will only be charged this if you switch to another supplier.

What happens when I move house?

If you tell us you are moving house we will carry over your details to the new property. In most cases you’ll be able to take your eligible tariff with you, and you’ll still receive Price Alerts. If your metering at your new home is different, or if you are moving to a different electricity local network area, you may need to agree a new tariff with us. If your new home is not currently supplied by us when you move in, as long as you switch your supply to us within a reasonable time and you switch to an eligible tariff, you’ll still receive Price Alerts. What happens if I change my email address?

You need to let us know as soon as possible, so we can make sure you will still receive your Price Alerts. You can update your email address by choosing ‘change your details’ in your online account or you can call us on 0333 202 4606. We're open 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 8am-6pm on a Saturday.

What happens if I leave E.ON and come back?

You will have to sign up for an online account and opt back into Price Alert – providing you are on an eligible tariff.
