About the scheme

What was E.ON Rewards and why has the scheme ended?

It was our rewards programme giving customers up to 1,500 E.ON Rewards Points every year for being on a tariff that offered them.

It's been around for several years, and it's the right time to review what we've got on offer. We're always looking for new and innovative ways to reward our customers, so in the meantime, take a look at some of our other solutions.

Why do I still need to opt in if I'm on a fixed price tariff?

If you're on a fixed price tariff that we sold between 6 December 2013 and 6 December 2016 and not opted in as of 31 March 2017 when the scheme ended, you'll need to be 'opted in' for us to give you the remainder of your points that you would have got up until your end date.

To ensure you get all your points, give us a call on 0345 301 5350. Lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays.

What tariffs offered Rewards?

They were only available on our EnergyPlan tariff and fixed price tariffs that we sold between 6 December 2013 and 6 December 2016, but you can check if your tariff offered Rewards by taking a look at your terms and conditions. It's in section 13 of our current EnergyPlan tariff T&Cs, and 14 for all our expired tariffs that included Rewards.

E.ON Rewards weren't available on any of our gas-only tariffs.

What rewards can I get from the scheme and how do I get them?

If you've still got some points, you can exchange them for Tesco Clubcard points or Bonusbond gift vouchers that you can spend over 18,000 shops, restaurants, bars and hotels across the UK.

If you're on our EnergyPlan tariff, your points will expire on 30 June 2017.

If you're on a fixed price tariff, your points expire two years from when you earned them, but after 30 June 2017, you'll only be able to exchange them for gift vouchers.

You can exchange your points in your online account, and we'll let you know if you still have points to claim.

If you don't currently manage your account online you can call us instead. If you pay by key or card, call 0345 301 5350. Lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays.

What happens in the case of bereavement?

Rewards Points are only valid for the named account holder. We may, where the account holder is deceased, agree to transfer the account into their spouse or civil partner’s name and in that case any points earned by the deceased will be transferred to the new account holder.

Our Bereavement Support Team is available Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm, or Saturday 8am to 6pm.

Your Tesco Clubcard points

What can I use my Tesco Clubcard points for and where can I find out more about them?

You can use them in store, online, or for petrol - but only until 30 June 2017. After that, if you've still got points to exchange, it'll need to be for gift vouchers.

You can also get up to four times their value with Tesco Clubcard Boost; there are over 600 Boost Partners to choose from.

What do I do if my Tesco Clubcard number changes or if I lose my Tesco Clubcard?

You'll need to let us know before you exchange your remaining points.

If you're still opted in, you can do this from within your online account, but if you're not opted in, or don't have an online account, you'll need to call us. If you pay by key or card, call 0345 302 4317, otherwise give us a ring on 0345 301 5350. Lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays.

Where are my Tesco Clubcard points?

Once you've exchanged your points for Tesco Clubcard points, your Clubcard points will appear on your next Clubcard statement and will be available in your online Clubcard account.

If you don't get your Clubcard points please give us a call. If you pay by key or card, call 0345 302 4317, otherwise give us a ring on 0345 301 5350. Lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 6pm on Saturdays.
