Biennial Status

As your FiT licensee, we need to check the meter readings at least once every two years. We compare the readings we take against previous ones we have to make sure all is correct. It’s important that we are allowed safe access to check the meter and its readings so we can make FiT payments.

If the meter is AMR-capable, we’ll still complete our checks at least every two years. We’ll attempt to complete the verification by:

  • Completing a system audit
  • Using historical data to verify meter readings that have been submitted
  • Visiting the site to inspect the meters

We might request some information from you during this process. Please provide it to us so we can complete the verification and continue to pay for electricity that is generated.
