Switching energy supplier

It only takes you a few minutes to switch your gas and electricity to E.ON. Then sit back and relax – we’ll take care of the rest.

Switch my supplier

1. Getting ready to change energy supplier

Have your latest gas or electricity bill to hand if you can.

It'll have your current supplier’s details, and explain the amount of energy you’ve used over the last 12 months in kilowatt hours (kWh).

This'll really help us give you an accurate comparison of our tariffs and prices, as it'll be based on the amount of energy you typically use.

2. Get an energy quote

It's the simplest way to compare our tariffs and switch your gas and electric. There's no obligation to sign up.

We’ll ask you a few questions to understand how you use and manage your energy.

Then we’ll show all the tariffs we have available to you, so you can compare before making your energy switch.

When you’ve picked one, we can start to finalise your switch in the last few steps.

Remember, you haven't switched supplier yet. That bit comes later in the energy switching process.

3. Switching your energy E.ON

If you’re happy with your quote, we’ll ask you for a few simple details such as how you’d like to pay.

Then, sit back and relax - we'll start switching energy suppliers for you.

Within seven working days, you’ll get a letter from us confirming your energy switch to E.ON.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll get in touch with your current gas and electric provider on your behalf, and let them know you’re going to change energy supplier.

4. The last bit

We’ll be in touch to ask for your first meter readings, and let you know when you’ll change energy supplier.

This'll help you check that payments to your current supplier stop at the right time.

Switching energy is as simple as that. So, what are you waiting for?
