What is a combi boiler?

A combination or combi boiler is a compact single unit that provides both hot water and heating to your home. So there’s no need to take up valuable storage space with a hot water cylinder or cold water storage tank. As they only heat water as and when you want to use it, all our A-rated Worcester Bosch Greenstar models are very cost-effective and energy-efficient. And they all come with the reassurance of a five-year manufacturer’s guarantee, which can be extended to up to ten years.

How does a combi boiler work?

Combination boilers take cold water from the mains and heat it up on demand. So when you turn on a hot tap the boiler fires up and delivers the hot water. And as hot water comes out at mains pressure, you can enjoy a nice powerful shower1.

Is a combi boiler right for you?

This type of boiler is great for small to medium sized homes or if you don’t need to have many hot taps running at once. Some of the Worcester Bosch combination boiler range can even be installed in a standard sized kitchen cupboard. There’s no need for a expansion or cold water tank in the attic either – which is good to know if you’re thinking about converting your loft space.

The legal stuff
