Why register for our landlord service?

The E.ON Landlord Service provides you with an easy way to stay in control and manage the energy at your properties. You'll also be able to take advantage of our exclusive tariff for landlords, giving you up to 30 days free energy while your properties are empty.

When you have a tenant moving in or out

It’s really important that you let us know when you’ve got tenants moving in or out. You can let us know by filling out our contact form. You’ll need:

  •      The meter readings
  •      The date of the move
  •      Who will be taking over responsibility of the property
  •      Contact details for both the new and old tenants including a full forwarding address.

If the property is empty

You’ll need to let us know if someone’s moved out, you can do this with our contact form.

Find out what happens with the standing charge at the property if no energy is being used.

If you register for our landlords service you'll be able to make the most of our exclusive tariff which gives you up to 30 days of free energy.

If you want the meter changing

To change a prepayment meter to a credit meter, we need to do a credit check. We can do this, but the account would need to remain in your name, rather than your tenants. You’ll pay the same with a credit meter (on E.ON EnergyPlan) as you do with a prepayment meter (however you can’t receive a Direct Debit discount with a prepayment meter).

If you’d like to change a credit meter to a prepayment meter we just need to check that you have 24 hour access to your meter, there’s nothing that would stop you from topping up and your meter is below head height.
