Your meter display can tell you what you're paying for your gas and electricity.

Prices are also shown on your statement, and we'll visit annually in person to make sure readings are correct.

Gas meter display

Press the red button on your gas meter and you will be able to display different screens and read information.

These are the displays that will show you the tariff you're charged for the gas you use.

Display number Display description What this means to you
09 Tariff 4 The price you're charged for the gas you use
10 Tariff 5 The price you're charged for the gas you use

 

Electricity meter display

Press the blue button on your electricity meter and you will be able to display different screens and read information.

These are the displays that will show the tariff you're charged for the electricity you use.

 

Explanation of electricity meter displays
Display What it means to you
F - Total weekly charges This will show you your weekly standing charge. If you've agreed a weekly repayment arrangement, this amount will also be included
I - Day time pence per unit This is what we charge you for each unit of energy you use (for all units if you have a 1 rate meter or your day usage if you have a 2 rate meter)
J - Night unit rate If you have a 1 rate meter you won't see this display
If you have a 2 rate meter, this is the reading for your night time usage. This gets sent to us when you top up with your key
K - Night time pence per unit This is the rate we charge you for your night time usage. If you don't see this display, you have a 1 rate meter
