Our prices, and why we change them

We usually change our standard energy prices a few times a year

This will only affect you if you’re on one of our variable tariffs or pay for your energy in certain ways.

What happens and when

Every six months, the maximum prices that energy suppliers can charge some groups of customers are reviewed by the energy regulator, Ofgem. This is also known as an energy price cap.

If you pay by prepayment or Smart Pay As You Go

From 14 August we're showing your new prices on our website, but you won't start paying these prices until the first time you top up your meters after 1 October. See your current prices.

If you pay any other way

If you're on one of our standard variable tariffs - E.ON EnergyPlan or E.ON EnergyPlan Assist - your prices also changed on 1 October 2020. See your current prices.
