E.ON See
What is E.ON See?
Who can use E.ON See?
What is my energy use?
I am an existing E.ON customer can I use E.ON See?
If I give a meter reading, will E.ON See update?
If I have a smart meter will it make a difference to E.ON See?
Why is my historical energy consumption information different on the Energy Tracker and the Saving Energy Toolkit?
The Energy Tracker shows how much energy you've used since you came on supply, whilst E.ON See displays the amount of energy you've been billed for. If your energy use has been based on estimated readings and we receive an accurate meter read, the Energy Tracker will update all of your historical information; however, as E.ON See displays the energy you've been billed for, it will only update to the last bill date.
What are similar homes in the Saving Energy Toolkit?
Through the similar homes comparison in E.ON See, our goal is to give you a comparison that's valid and meaningful.
We'll use the data available to us to identify homes that are similar to yours. For example, the number of bedrooms or whether the home is terraced, detached, semi-detached etc., as at the date of the last national census. We don’t include homes that the census show as unoccupied. We don't take into account things such as construction type.
We'll typically compare your energy use for the similar neighbour comparison to homes within the county you live in. To help us improve the accuracy of our comparisons, you can update the information about your home and the number of occupants in the ‘My Home’ page or by clicking on ‘What are similar homes’ within the My Energy page. You can also find this by clicking on ‘Tell us about your home’ on the Energy Breakdown section of the tool.
Why does the 'My Energy Usage Chart' in the Saving Energy Toolkit not match my bill amounts?
Billing periods may be for different time periods than the calendar months shown on the chart. To make it easier for our customers, the charts show all energy use on a month-by-month basis. We calculate this by estimating how much energy you use each day based on the consumption details we have.
How do similar homes manage to use so much less energy than me?
Other households may take a variety of steps to be more energy efficient, including using the thermostat to manage heating costs, turning off lights and devices when not in use and always running full loads in the dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. While these homes use less energy than you, it might not be because their homes are more efficient – they may not be at home as often as you, or you may have life or health circumstances that mean you use more. See our Ways to Save hints and tips for ideas on how to be more energy efficient.
How often will my E.ON See graphs update?
Your comparison and energy use graphs will update monthly. Your energy costs chart will update after each time you receive a bill.
I don't want to share my E.ON See data, can I opt out?
If you don’t want to share your data, just contact us via email with your account details.Â
