Affordable Warmth

See if you can get a grant for your home improvements.

Get a grant for home improvements

You can apply if you own your home and if you or anyone living with you is in receipt of benefits. You don’t need to be an E.ON customer. You could save money on your energy bills too.

A new gas boiler

If your boiler is broken or faulty you could get a new one for just £240*. If there are extra costs we'll let you know in your free home survey.

Free cavity wall insulation

We could cover the cost of insulating any cavity walls, making it harder for heat to escape from your home.

Free loft insulation

We could cover the cost of insulating loft spaces if you don't already have insulation, or if it’s less than 100mm thick.

What our customers say

Kelly in Bedfordshire applied for funding towards cavity wall and loft insulation through us. "I had both cavity wall and loft installation, both installed at the same time, same appointment. From start to finish it took about an hour and a half... The installation went really well. They were very quick, very thorough; exactly as the surveyor had predicted."

The legal stuff

* The applicant will need to pay £240 towards the standard replacement of the gas boiler if theirs is broken or faulty. E.ON Energy Solutions Limited will pay the remainder as part of the Government scheme called Affordable Warmth. There may be additional extras or further work required alongside replacement of the boiler, for which the customer will need to cover the cost. The assessor will let the customer know how much this will be on completion of the free home survey, and it’s then completely up to the customer if they want to proceed to installation.  This offer is available through the Affordable Warmth Scheme and is subject to eligibility and a free home survey. See our eligibility criteria.
