Green Homes Grant Scheme

The Green Homes Grant is a Local Authority delivery scheme which provides funding for energy efficiency home improvements.

What is the Local Authority Delivery Scheme?

The Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery Scheme allows lower income home owners and landlords to claim up to £10,000 of funding to carry out home improvements to increase the home's energy efficiency and reduce the amount of carbon dioxide it produces.

We are working with local authorities from across the country to provide these energy efficiency measures for eligible households, completely free of charge. This includes solar panels, insulation and heat pumps.

If your home has an EPC energy efficiency rating of D, E, F or G and your household income is less than £30,000 then you are eligible for support. Please fill out the application form and we will be in touch to discuss next steps.

The Green Homes Grant LAD scheme ends March 2021.

Future-proof home

Upgrading for free now will future proof your home for many years to come, and protect you from any stricter carbon targets.

What energy efficiency measures are available?

Primary measures

Under the scheme you can claim one or more primary home improvement measures.

These primary measures include things like wall and loft insulation, as well as renewable heating systems and large insulation measures

Secondary measures

When you've had a primary measure installed, you can then explore secondary measures.

Secondary measures are a way to make additional energy efficiency improvements to your home, for free.

How do I find the EPC rating of my home?

You can find the energy efficiency rating of your home by looking on the EPC Register and entering your postcode and selecting your house from the list.

I don't meet the eligibility criteria, what should I do?

If you don't meet the above eligibility criteria for the Green Homes Grant scheme, don't worry. There are other schemes which may be able to help so get in touch with us and see how we can help you.

I don't live in one of the areas you cover, can you still help?

If you don't live under one of the local authorities listed above, don't worry. We have relationships with many local authorities around the country so may still be able to help.

I'm a landlord, can I benefit from the Warm Homes Scheme?

Yes you can. We can work with landlords to fund two-thirds of the cost of installs, up to a limit of £5,000.

For larger measures such as External Wall Insulation and Air Source Heat Pumps you may be required to pay higher percentage of the install cost.

When does the Green Homes Grant end?

All improvement works must be completed to your home by 31 March 2021, otherwise they will not receive the funding.

Are there measures you don't install?

There are some Green Home Grant measures which we don't currently install. These include: upgrading single-glazing to double-glazing, Hybrid heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, biomass and flat roof insulation.
