Would you like a free mobility aid to support your health and well-being?

Our Homes for Living team offers support for independent living, giving people the equipment to feel mobile and confident at home, and better yet, it's free to those who are eligible. If you're over 50, on means tested benefits, and live in any of the following areas, you could qualify:

  • North East
  • North West
  • Yorkshire
  • East and West Midlands

What is Homes for Living?

Homes for Living is a scheme designed to support your mobility, wellbeing, and independence by offering free and attractive home aids and equipment designed to give you more freedom in your home. We've secured funding, and we're working in partnership with Newcastle University.

 

Introducing the StairSteady

 

 

The StairSteady is a step towards providing you with safety and independence when navigating your stairs.

Using your stairs can keep you active and promote and maintain mobility, but it can be a worry if you have joint pain or feel unbalanced.

This is where the StairSteady can really help, this unique mobility aid can provide you with the confidence you need to use your stairs, helping you to stay safe and keep active.

How do I know if I'm eligible for Homes for Living?

If you live in one of the qualifying areas and are over 50, and someone at the property receives benefits, i.e. Universal Credit, Income Support, Pension Credit, or other means tested benefits.

 

How could Homes for Living help you?

Nothing to pay

Homes for Living is totally free if you meet the eligibility criteria. If you qualify for Warm Home Discount, you could also qualify for this scheme. Our team can help you understand if you're eligible.

Subtle design

All our mobility aids are very discreet, the StairSteady folds away neatly, making your stairs free for others to use.

Installation included

If you're eligible, we'll arrange for the mobility aids to be installed in your home for free.
