Is there a charge for having the services removed?

Yes, this charge is from your distribution company or area and they'll send you a quotation once they've received information from us.

How long will it take for the services to be removed?

This depends on the amount and type of work being carried out by the distribution company. You need to ring us on 0115 995 5019 to get started.

Does the meter need removing as well?

Yes, we'll arrange for the meter operator to visit the site and remove the meter once you've contacted us. Please allow ten working days for this work to be carried out.

Are there any other options?

Yes, you might want to consider a service alteration, this involves the services to your property being moved to a different position. This still costs money and needs carrying out by your distribution company, but avoids disconnection and and removal of the services.

You can contact the distribution company for your area directly for this to be carried out, and to get a quotation.

I'm renovating my property and need the power turning off

We can arrange for the meter to be de-energised, this means you won't be able to use any electricity at the property and the main fuse will be removed by the meter operator.

There is a charge of £64.76 for the visit to remove the fuse, and then the return visit to replace the fuse and get electricity back is free of charge.
