When you first turn on your smart in-home display, you’ll be given the option of a tutorial to show you how it works.
How do smart meters work?
Smart meters automatically send us your readings each month so that you don’t have to.
Your smart in-home display can show you how much energy you’ve used, how close you are to your budget, your CO2 emissions and much more.
How to read a smart meter
Generally, you don’t read a smart meter, as there sent to us automatically. But you can read your smart in-home display. Your smart in-home display shows you how much it costs to keep your home cosy, day and night. Not only that, but you can set budgets and compare your energy use across the week so you can stay in control.
Track your energy use
With a smart meter you can scroll through how much energy you’ve used today, this week, this month or this year by pressing the Calendar button. You can also use the forward and back arrows to compare how much energy you used in previous days or months, compared to today or this month.
How to budget
Once you’ve chosen your budget and time period (for example, £20 per month), you can scroll through your display menu to find ‘Set Budget’ and then set your values using the touchscreen buttons.
