Installing solar panels in a safe environment

Solar power is one of the world's fastest growing sources of renewable energy and our team of experts will ensure your solar panels are installed to the highest standard, following rigorous safety, health and environmental standards.

We only use what's known as Tier 1 manufacturers which means you'll get the best solar panels installed by highly qualified solar installers.

If you have any further queries about the solar installation process, one of our team is on hand to help.

We manage the entire installation so you don't have to do a thing.

First contact

After filling out our online contact form, one of our experts will get in touch to help you decide the best solar options for you and give you a personalised quote. The survey can be carried out in your home, or over the phone.

Arranging your solar installation

If you agree to go ahead with the quote, we will discuss the best payment options for you. We'll then get in contact to arrange installation and tell you know the next steps (including when the scaffolding will be put up).

Scaffolding and install mounts fitted

Once the scaffolding has been put up, giving our our installers safe access to your roof,  the install mounts -  which the solar panels will be attached to - are fitted and attached to the rafters.

Solar panels, inverter & battery installed

When the solar panels have been secured to the frame and wired in, the inverter is installed and connected to the battery (if chosen) and the grid input. The inverter is what transforms energy from the solar panels into electricity your home can use.

Connect the system to the grid

Once your solar panel installation is complete, the whole system is connected to the consumer unit which will sit in your fuse box.  We'll then ensure all the cabling is neatly fitted with a black or white conduit to suit your home.

E.ON Home energy management

When your installation is complete you'll receive an invite to use our exclusive E.ON Home energy management system and instructions on how to use it to monitor the solar energy consumption throughout your home.

How long does a solar panel installation take?

Most solar installations are completed within a day but some larger jobs will take a little longer.  We can let you know once we know the size of the system you need.

We'll put your scaffolding up a few days before we fit solar panels to the roof and we'll take it down a few days after. Of course we'll always make sure we leave your property clean and tidy.

Solar panel packages

Whether your roof is in full sun or partly shaded, we offer solar panel packages to ensure you get a system which is bespoke to your home and budget.

Maintenance and aftercare

The assistance we give doesn't stop after installation. There's many ways we continue to help to ensure your solar panels remain as efficient as possible.

Pay in instalments

We have a range of flexible financing available, including interest-free credit options.1

Can I put up my own scaffolding to install solar panels?

In most circumstances we will insist on putting up our own scaffold, to ensure the safety of you and our solar panel installers, however there are exceptions when scaffold is already in place for renovation works or a new build home is being built, but that scaffold would have to meet with our safety standards.

Are the solar panel installers employees of E.ON?

We have both direct staff and also solar panel installation partners across the country, all of our partners have to complete a thorough quality and Safety, Health & Environment on-boarding process to be allowed to install on behalf of E.ON, so you can rest assured you're in the best of hands.

How long does it take from solar panel consultation to installation?

For straight forward installations it'll take about three months. It could be longer if we need to apply for grid connection to your local electricity network operator. We know how important solar panels are to you and we'll do our best to install them as quickly as possible, and keep you informed of the progress of your installation.

Do I have to wait for my solar installation if there is a delay on my battery?

You can have your panels fitted first and we’ll be in touch to arrange the installation of your battery as soon as it becomes available.
