Why am I being put on your standard tariff?

We’ll never tie you in or change you to a fixed term contract without you asking us to. By putting you on our standard tariff (E.ON EnergyPlan), we’re giving you the chance to choose which tariff is best for you.


Are there any other tariffs I could go on? Is this the best you can do?

Yes, we have other tariffs to choose from. Login or register to manage your account online and then choose ‘Find our best deal for you’ from the left hand menu. You’ll be able to compare all the tariffs we’ve got available to you.


Can’t you just put me on what you think is best for me?

We’ll never assume what our best deal for you is, as your preference could change from year to year, so we’ll leave it up to you to decide.


Will my Direct Debit change due to my renewal?

Your Direct Debit might need to change as your prices make up your Direct Debit amount. We also take into account things such as current balance, how much energy we think you’ll use before your annual review and how many payments you have left. We’ll give you at least 14 days’ notice if your Direct Debit needs to change.


Why has my price increased so much?

If you were on a fixed price tariff, you would have been protected from any price increases during that time and will have been benefitting from lower prices. This means that when you move to a new plan, your new prices will be higher.


I’ve missed my renewal date, can I still renew?
