What is an Energy Performance Certificate?

An Energy Performance Certificate (or EPC), summarises the energy efficiency of a property and gives a good idea of how expensive it is to run. All new buildings, or properties that are sold or rented, need an EPC.

We're here to help

The new EPC legislation came into force on 1st April 2018. It means that all of your let properties must have an EPC rating of E or better to be legally let or leased as residential or commercial property.

Any landlords that fail to meet these standards will not be allowed to let their properties out to new tenants or renew existing contracts. Thankfully, making your property energy-efficient to comply with the new EPC legislation needn’t be complicated or expensive. It could be as simple as upgrading your boiler.
