We've identified a problem with the prepayment store locator which we're working to fix. This means we've had to temporarily disable this area of the site.
We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you, we'll be back up and running as soon as possible.
If you need to top up your meter you can take your card or key to any service station or shop where you see the PayPoint or Payzone signs, or at any Post Office.
You can visit their websites to find your nearest top up place:
Payzone (opens in new window)
Paypoint (opens in new window)
Post Office (opens in new window)
What to do next?
Once you've found your nearest top up point you can add new credit to your prepayment meter by following these steps.
- Hand over your key or card to the shop assistant and ask for a top up to the value you want. You can only top up in full pounds.
- Once you've paid they'll take your key or card, pop it in their machine and add your new credit. Please make sure you keep your receipt.
- When you insert your key or card into your meter at home your credit will be transferred.
Please report any suspected fraud
There are some people out there who are targeting prepayment customers with the offer of 'cheaper top ups'. Don't be fooled, as you'll end up paying more.
Just remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If you think you've been targeted by a fraudster make sure you report this crime. Action Fraud is the UK's national fraud reporting centre, and should be your first point of contact if you've been a victim of fraud.
