What we're doing to clear the air

We're helping to clean the air and contribute to a more sustainable future.

The air pollution problem

Across the UK we're suffering from illegal levels of air pollution and the World Health Organization has declared air quality a public health emergency.

We believe that through education, adjusting how we think about energy in our day-to-day lives along with innovative products from E.ON, we can clear the air together. Find out more about our clean air vision in our white paper.

Heat more efficiently

Some of the ways we’re solving the air pollution issue and helping homes become more efficient include: offering house insulation which can drastically improve heat retention and, through smart meters, households can make more informed decisions about their energy use.

Providing a lower carbon, more efficient supply of heating and hot water with our district heating schemes and by bringing air source heat pumps to the market, one of the cleanest ways to heat your home.

Energy efficient grants

From solar panels to air source heat pumps and insulation, we can help you make your home more energy efficient with our range of funding schemes and energy efficiency grants.

Heat pumps

Using electricity, air source heat pumps take heat from the outside air. They can generate up to three times the amount of energy they consume to meet heating and hot water needs.

Power more sustainably

We're tackling the air pollution issue by providing our customers' homes with electricity backed by 100% renewable sources, including wind and solar with a fixed tariff*.

You can also buy solar photovoltaic panels from us and we're starting to deliver ultra fast electric vehicle charging points.
