One of the UK’s leading energy and sustainable solutions providers, E.ON Next, has launched two new solar export tariff rates which offer customers who sell their excess solar power to the grid the best rates available on the market.

E.ON Next now offers two new Smart Export Guarantee tariffs, both of which are 12-month fixed term contracts:

  • ‘Next Export Premium Plus’ pays 40p per kWh of electricity exported and is available to E.ON Next energy customers who’ve had solar panels and a battery solution installed by E.ON Solar and Storage since 1st January 2024.
  • ‘Next Export Premium’ pays 25p per kWh of electricity exported and is available to E.ON Next energy customers who’ve had solar panels installed by E.ON Solar and Storage since 1st January 2024.

Julian Lennertz, Chief Commercial Officer at E.ON Next, said: “At E.ON Next, we’re aware that many people are wanting to get more from their energy and adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. Generating your own clean, renewable energy is an excellent way to do just that as we head towards our new energy world.

“Investing in solar panels is a big step, so it’s crucial we help to make this decision as easy and cost effective as possible. That’s why we’re delighted to be able to offer our new market-leading Smart Export Guarantee rates, helping ensure customers get the most from their solar power.”

E.ON has installed more than 16,000 solar panel systems on homes across the UK, and as well as its new tariff rates, E.ON is now offering solar panel systems starting from just £4,995, with a 30-year performance warranty, the option of battery storage, finance options available and installation by Which? Trusted Trader accredited E.ON installers.

Customers can also use the E.ON Home app to manage how much energy is being used across their home – whether that’s solar panels, EV charging or heating controls.
