E.ON Next, one of the UK’s leading energy providers, is expanding its offering of electric vehicle (EV) smart home charging solutions in its drive to help further increase the take-up of EVs and offer customers more options when charging their EVs.

People with an EV, or those considering purchasing one, can now:

  • Get a state-of-the-art Wallbox Pulsar Max smart home EV charger installed by E.ON Next. These chargers are sleek, robust and smart, and come with the ability to be controlled manually or by voice or app1. Existing E.ON Next energy customers can also receive £50 off a new Wallbox Pulsar Max charger.
  • Use the Wallbox app to schedule charging ahead of time, making charging easier and more convenient.
  • Get the E.ON Next Drive tariff. All E.ON Next chargers are compatible with this tariff, helping customers save money on charging their EVs overnight. The E.ON Next Drive tariff offers a cheaper overnight charging rate of 9.5p per kWh between 12 and 7am, saving them up to £400 a year2. The tariff also comes with 100% renewable electricity at no extra cost3, fixed energy prices for one year and no exit fees.

David Butters, UK Market Director for E.ON Drive, a division within E.ON Next which focuses on EV solutions, said: "At E.ON Next, we're all about helping our customers take positive action to help tackle the climate crisis and lower their energy use and bills. More and more drivers are now looking for greener and cheaper ways to live their lives – and this includes how they travel.

“Driving electric is the future as we work to meet the nation’s net zero target, and that's why we're delighted to offer EV drivers more choice with the introduction of the Wallbox Pulsar Max, one of the best-known EV charger brands. Together with our bespoke EV tariff, which offers one of the longest off-peak periods in the market, and a discount on a smart charger, we’re on a mission to help make the decarbonisation of driving the easy and best choice for our customers.”

Ashley McFadden, UK+IE Team Lead at Wallbox, added: “We're excited to announce that our smart home charger Pulsar Max will now be part of E.ON Next’s offering. By pairing our smart hardware with their modern energy tariffs, we’re able to further support UK drivers in their transition to electric mobility.”
