"It’s vital that we reflect our customers’ diverse backgrounds and life experiences and I’m hugely proud of the progress we’re making and the commitment of our Board, our leaders and our colleagues to make E.ON a place where everyone feels a true sense of belonging, as we continue to ensure diversity and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do."

Michael Lewis, Chief Executive of E.ON UK

Energy and sustainable solutions provider E.ON has once again been named in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list, having appeared every year since 2017.

As the only energy supplier to be named on the list, E.ON is now ranked at number 15 of the most inclusive employers in the UK. The ranking comes after E.ON recently launched its first inclusion report, sharing progress and plans to ensuring E.ON is a place where every colleague is welcome and respected for who they are.

Michael Lewis, Chief Executive of E.ON UK, said: “At E.ON, we’re committed to building an inclusive organisation where colleagues know they’re valued, respected, and feel a sense of belonging so they can thrive and be at their best.

“It’s vital that we reflect our customers’ diverse backgrounds and life experiences and I’m hugely proud of the progress we’re making and the commitment of our Board, our leaders and our colleagues to make E.ON a place where everyone feels a true sense of belonging, as we continue to ensure diversity and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.”

The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list showcases leading organisations working across all strands of diversity and promoting inclusion throughout every level of employment.

Over the past 18 months E.ON has made a number of changes based on colleague feedback, including introducing hybrid working principles giving flexibility and autonomy, advertising all its roles as flexible including part time and job share options, as well as completely updating its recruitment and selection training with a focus on inclusion to support those with disabilities or neurodivergent.

E.ON has also continued to develop its inclusivity networks, which now support areas including racial inclusion, gender equality, parents, LGBT+, menopause and mental health, and has over a quarter of colleagues actively part of these networks.
