Cavity wall insulation
The most effective way of preventing heat loss in your home is cavity wall insulation. It's easy to install, and you could save on your future energy bills. During installation, a specialist installer will drill small holes in the outside walls of your home and use special equipment to insert material into the cavity. It's a straightforward procedure that doesn't usually take more than a few hours.

External wall insulation
If your home was built before the 1920s, it's likely to have solid walls. Homes with solid walls can lose up to twice as much heat as those with modern cavity walls. We'll add two layers of insulation to your home's exterior. The first layer will keep your house nice and warm, and the second outer layer will protect your home from the weather and give it a fresh new look. Depending on where you live in the country, you could qualify for funding, and we'll be able to install this for free.
Smart thermostat
With a smart thermostat, you can make your home as energy-efficient as possible by always being in control of its temperature. Whether you're at home or not, you'll always be in control of your heating and hot water, helping you to save on your energy bills.

Funding FAQs
Who is the scheme for and how does it work?
Under ECO, energy suppliers must promote measures that improve the ability of low-income, fuel-poor, and vulnerable households to heat their homes. Implementing these measures should result in reduced energy usage by installing insulation.
The ECO scheme supports energy efficiency upgrades in the homes of those considered to be in fuel poverty - both home owners and tenants.
How can I benefit from free upgrades?
Your property will need to be assessed to understand which specific improvements would most benefit it. You must own your own home or have permission from your landlord, including a social housing provider or management company.
Will I have to pay to have energy efficiency improvements installed and are there any additional costs?
It is up to each energy supplier to determine which energy efficiency upgrades will be funded. We'll work with the installers to understand which improvements will benefit your property and how to fund them.
Any additional work to your home outside of the installation of energy-saving recommendations from the survey will be at your expense, and we’ll let you know before you agree to proceed.
If I have a survey, do I have to have the measures recommended installed?
There is no obligation.
How long will it take to have everything installed?
The time it will take to install the upgrades will depend on the improvements we’ll be installing. We’ll discuss this with you after the survey.
Who will carry out the installation of the measures?
One of our TrustMark registered installers will install your measures.
