"We’re delighted to be supporting the Notts Pride celebrations. It’s vital that we continue to reflect our customers’ diverse backgrounds and life experiences in our workforce and I’m proud that we’re actively encouraging people from the LGBT+ community and allies to join E.ON Next."

  • E.ON has been named one of the Top 50 Inclusive Employers for six years running.
  • E.ON Next is currently looking for around 300 local people to join its business to help drive continued improvement in its customer service.

E.ON is proudly supporting this weekend’s Notts Pride, having already sponsored Birmingham Pride in May this year, as part of its wider commitment to inclusivity across its business.

E.ON is one of Nottingham’s largest employers and supporting Notts Pride strengthens its existing work to ensuring people from all backgrounds, including LGBT+ colleagues, feel welcomed, supported, valued and able to come to work as their authentic selves.

Creating a diverse workforce is at the heart of E.ON and it has been named one of the UK’s Top Inclusive Employers for the past six years in a row.

Colleagues from across E.ON UK’s business will be at Notts Pride on 29th July, including many of its 600-strong colleague-led LGBT+ and Friends inclusivity network members, to celebrate the LGBT+ community and raise awareness about the challenges that many people still face today.

E.ON Next recruiting in and around Nottingham

As part of E.ON’s presence at Notts Pride, E.ON Next will also be continuing its drive to recruit more than 1,300 people to join its business. Colleagues from around the E.ON Next business will be at Notts Pride to talk about the available Energy Specialist roles and what it’s like to be a ‘Nextie’.

The company is looking to recruit around 300 colleagues into its Nottingham team, based at its city centre office Trinity House on Burton Street. The roles cover a variety of areas, including Energy Specialists looking after residential and small business customers, roles focused on acquiring new customers and specialists in areas such as prepayment and pay as you go.

Helen Bradbury, Chief People Officer at E.ON UK said: “Diversity and inclusion is integral to everything that we do at E.ON, and we’re proud to have been recognised as one of the UK’s Top 50 Inclusive Employers for the past six years in a row.

“We’re delighted to be supporting the Notts Pride celebrations. Nottingham is extremely close to our hearts at E.ON; thousands of our colleagues live in and around the city and many more of our customers live and work here too. It’s vital that we continue to reflect our customers’ diverse backgrounds and life experiences in our workforce and I’m proud that we’re actively encouraging people from the LGBT+ community and allies to join E.ON Next.”

Ramona Vlasiu, Chief Operating Officer at E.ON Next, added: “Our Energy Specialists are passionate about providing great service. Each team has their own group of customers and they’re responsible for looking after them end to end. Naturally, with this they get to know them a bit better too. If you think you could be a good fit and want to join an already diverse group of talented people who are committed to caring for our customers’ we’d love to hear from you.”

E.ON Next offers a competitive salary, an attractive holiday allowance (with the option to buy up to 2 weeks more), a great pension, access to hundreds of market leading discounts and benefits, equal parental and adoption leave and excellent learning and development opportunities. The roles are being offered on a full time, part time and job share basis, and are hybrid or home-based roles.

To find out more, visit the E.ON Next stand in Hockley from 11am – 3pm on Saturday 29th July and E.ON volunteers will be walking in the Pride Parade from 11am – 12pm.
