The good news is that, depending on your eligibility, we may be able to offer you a free insulation grant. The typical installation cost is £27002. Through green homes funding programmes, we are collaborating with the government and local councils to provide free cavity wall insulation to eligible homes throughout the UK. These energy efficiency grants exist to aid homeowners and private renters who are on a low income or receiving a means-tested benefit to improve the energy efficiency of their homes.

If your walls are incorrectly insulated, around one-third of all the heat produced in your home could be lost. Depending on when your house was built, it can have cavity walls. If these walls aren't insulated, heat escapes, and you wind up paying extra.

You may also be eligible for other energy efficiency measures. Learn more about green homes grants and funding.

What is an EPC rating?

Every home in the UK has an energy efficiency rating called an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). The EPC provides a property with a rating from A, being the most efficient, to G, being the least efficient. So improving your home's EPC rating will help reduce your energy bills and cut down on your carbon emissions, and it could also increase the value of your home. You can check your EPC rating here.
